Duke ACC Tournament Part I
On the date Friday, March 11, 2011; the Duke Blue Devils played against the Maryland Terrapins. In the first half Maryland tried very hard to keep it a close game but Duke won out in the first half by a lead of 42-33. In the second half tragedy almost stopped the Devils in their tracks. Star player, Nolan Smith, jammed his toe late in the game. He didn't return but he did show signs that he might return. Duke won the game 87-71. Kyle Singler was the player of the game with a total of 29 points. He was also 10-15 FG, 0-4 3P, and 9-9 FT. Great news for the Devils is that their star player Kyrie Irving is practicing and running briskly. They are hoping that he will be availible to play in the NCAA Tournament. Duke looks forward to playing either the Hokies or the 'Noles Saturday night.
Yogi Berri Takes Fall in Team Clubhouse
Just today former NYY catcher Yogi Berri took a fall in the team's clubhouse. He was taken to the hospital and was later released with only a few bruises.
Carolina Panthers, Who Are They Eyeing?
There is some great discussion over who the Panthers will take with their First Round Draft Pick. Coach Ron Rivera has been eyeing, Heisman winner Auburn QB, Cam Newton. They also have been eyeing several Defensive and Offensive Linemen. But Rivera also has to be thinking do they really need another young QB. Rivera needs to figure things out because the NFL Draft is less than a month away.
